HENRE Website
The HENRE website is at present being redesigned. It is planned for viewing in September 2005.

Management Group Meeting
A meeting for the management group members and Subgroup co-ordinators was held on Friday 17th June in Gdansk Poland. The management team would like to thank Piotr Lass and his colleagues from the University of Gdansk for the wonderful welcome they received and all the hard work involved in organisation and travel arrangements.
The minutes will be sent to all members in due course.

Tuning and Thematic Network Meeting
A Tuning meeting took place in Budapest in April for TN coordinators to explain what is expected of the network in terms of Tuning. The Tuning programme is extremely flexible and means that much of the detail can be decided by the Network. Cycles can be merged or not as desired and reports can come at the end of each cycle or after two merged cycles. HENRE has committed to a report at the end of Cycle 1. If the report is to become a common reference point for Europe then the report will need to be ratified by stakeholders. However if the document is to stay an internal reference point for HENRE then only the partners need to ratify it.

The Tuning directors have agreed to put the Tuning questionnaire onto the Tuning website as well as the HENRE website. Hopefully the questionnaire will be able to reach a greater number of people. We still need over 200 replies!

The Tuning II book is to be released at the end of July. This book contains the nursing final report and gives an example of how
HENRE should set out the report including cycle level descriptors and good practice examples strategies used to develop the competences.

Targeting of the Tuning questionnaire: Please please please could everyone do the following with the Tuning questionnaire attached.
Send the Tuning questionnaire in electronic form.
Gather responses from at least 15 academics (if possible) in the subject area.
Target your own University and other Institutions in your Country and get at least 15 responses.
Ask them to return to Mel Dow at: melaniedow@hotmail.com by September 2005

HENRE II
Results of the application will be known by the end of July and the project would then be expected to start October 1st 2005.
A HENRE II AGM is proposed for the 17th – 20th November in Malta. Please contact Jo Barnes for details at henre@ucsm.co.uk


Ist Euromed Congress (7 -11 Sept 2005)
HENRE has accepted an invitation to exhibit on a stand. Val Challen and Mel Dow will be in attendance. HENRE have also been invited to participate on an Educational Panel along with representatives from ERG and Tuning and ECRRT.
